LEARNING OUTCOMES
As children enter and progress through Resurrection Catholic Parish School, they each have a foundation for whole group discussion and inquiry-based learning. They are able to embrace the curriculum with enthusiasm as their literacy and math skills are advancing. Inquiry & Project Based Learning
Project Based Learning (PBL) is an effective and enjoyable way to learn - and to develop deeper learning competencies required for success in school and life. Project based learning gives students hands-on opportunities to investigate and respond to engaging and complex questions, problems, or challenges. Experiential learning enables the learning to be personalized and differentiated.
As our students progress through grade levels, design thinking and project-based learning help students to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Storylines and projects engage their hearts and minds and provides real-world relevance for learning. Students learn how to take initiative and responsibility, build their confidence, solve problems, work in teams, communicate ideas, and manage themselves more effectively. Students learn by doing which plays a crucial part in retention and ability to apply what's learned to new situations.
